Temecula Family Photographer | Harley is 3 months!

With family portrait season approaching quickly, this was the perfect time to document 3 month old Harlyann with her family.  Her joyful spirit shines in her photos.  I have known her cute family for some time now and treasure my friendship with them.  Kole and Kenneth have so much love for Harlyann.  My heart melted when they wanted to make sure they would each have a picture holding her.  Between her dad and brothers, I am positive she will not be able to date, like ever.  Did I mention she has lashes for days and curled perfectly? She is the perfect mix of her cute family and has finally helped the boy to girl ratio!  Check out some of our favorites!  To book your family session, email me here!

Yorba Linda California Baby Photographer | Miss Maebree

I have documented some important times in this family. I was lucky to once again capture Maebree for her four month milestone.  Maebree is so happy and peaceful. I was shocked at how much she had grown and in awwwwe of her beauty.  Her smile melted my heart and her eyes show how beautiful her soul is.  These photos will cure your Monday blues. ~B

Temecula California Maternity Photographer | Natalie and Dave

An amazing beach, accompanied with amazing light can only equal a perfect maternity session.  I am so happy for my friends Natalie and Dave.  In a few short weeks, they will be consumed by a love no words can describe.  Our session was filled with lots of laughing.  Finding a parking spot was quite a task and to get down to the sand was something like a 160 steps! But so worth it.  I kept asking her if she was ok with this location and kind of encouraging her to pick another location.  And just a fun fact….Natalie whipped up and down those stairs while we were huffing and puffing.  No lie. . .

I cannot wait to meet Baby O.  Enjoy our photos. ‘Til next time, ~B

Temecula Family Photographer | Mommy and Me Mini Sessions

Moms- This is your time to get in the photos with your babies. I have been recently reminded in many ways, that life’s moments are precious. You are always behind the camera, documenting every step of your babies. Walls filled with photos of your precious little ones but where are you in these pictures? Your kids want to have you just the way you are, the way they know you. They don’t see the couple extra pounds you are worried about or the hair you’re not happy with. They love you just the way you are. They want memories of you with them. And Dads, this makes for a treasured Mother’s Day gift. Bookings are limited.Mommy and Me

Temecula Maternity Photographer | Waiting for Ruby

I loved meeting Sarah and Ben! Sarah has the most beautiful southern accent and qualifies to be America’s Sweetheart! I kept asking her questions just to hear her speak.  At 34 weeks she barely had a tummy.  She put up with me constantly telling her to stick her baby bump out!  I wanted to incorporate red into the session especially being just before Christmas and guess what?! They shared that baby girl would be named RUBY! So cool.  Ruby will be arriving in two short weeks and I look forward to meeting her.  Here are a few of my favorites from our session. ~B

Irvine Maternity Photographer | Baby Makes Three

I met Tracy and Michael last month.  I had spoken with Tracy a few times over the phone and by text message prior to our session.  She expressed thoughts about how ‘pregnant’ she felt.  Being due in little over a month from our session date, I understood those feelings. HOWEVER, Tracy and Michael arrived to our location.  My first thought was you have got to be freaking kidding me!!  She was absolutely so well put together, accessorized, every hair in perfect place with only ‘pregnancy’ showing in her tummy.  I was pregnant everywhere. Not fair.  I asked her where she would be delivering.  She hesitated for a moment.  I asked if she was delivering with a midwife.  She said yes….I then asked, South Coast Midwifery??  Sure enough.  I delivered with their amazing team.  I could not possibly be more excited for her.  Tracy and Michael are absolutely adorable.  Our session rocked and we had the most gorgeous fall sunlight.  My photographer heart was over the moon! I am excited to meet the highly anticipated Maebree. Until then, enjoy these. ~Bryna

Some Food For Thought | Southern California Photographer

OscarWilde

I sit here with so many things I want to say.  Some of which I will not.  Here it goes…..Photography is an investment.  I believe it is both a wanted and needed investment but whether it may be having a session or putting food on the table, I am hoping you are choosing the latter of the two.  I believe documenting once in a lifetime moments is important.  However, because this is an investment, some may save up by cutting out daily Starbucks or frequent mall trips.  Both of these add up quickly (I know because I am a daily Starbucks visitor) and these things last a few minutes to a couple of months.  You do it because you know the images you will be saving up for is a lifetime investment, YOUR legacy.  This treasured investment means more than anything you may have to go without.  I want my photos to make you wish you could jump back in that photograph and be in that exact very moment.  Custom Photography has so many benefits.  The big one? 1:1 attention at your home or outdoor location where your child is allowed to be comfortable in their environment.  As an artist I customize ideas, colors and props that are going to create a unique memory.  Photography requires constant reinvestment.   Whether it be reliable equipment, back-up equipment, props (setups easily begin at $250 and upward), staying up to date with software, website maintenance, vehicle repairs/gas, computers, advertising/marketing, workshops and most importantly camera maintenance.  A common misunderstanding is to think that only the time during the session is involved. Here is a small glimpse of what goes into a session: planning and preparation, perhaps this may be the making a custom prop, packing up for the session and unloading, time spent editing, emailing, ordering and packaging, driving to the post office, time scouting locations, managing expenses and taxes. Easily 18-20 hours are spent for each session. So my main point of this is to ask you this:  Why has it become acceptable to expect a professional photographer to work for less than minimum wage?  Would you want your spouse to go to work and not bring home a paycheck?  I am not sure when photography became a business of giving away free work but I have a family I provide for. My children are growing so fast.  My time with them and being present for every moment of their childhood is my absolute number one, second is my business.  Photography has been my passion for as long as I can remember, but I am not about to spend that time away from my children while working myself in a hole.  With all this being said, I will be introducing new packages and pricing. Although my prices are changing, I hope my clients will continue to value my work, my time and understand where I am coming from as a mommy.
